Product Care & Handling Guidelines

Handmade Craftsmanship

Every HeartUrns product is individually handmade, which means no two urns are exactly the same. Subtle variations in color, glaze, and texture are part of the artistic process — making each urn as unique as the memory it honors.

Please be aware:

• Slight differences in glaze tone or finish compared to product photos may occur.

• Factors such as lighting and device settings can affect how colors appear online. For best accuracy, view our images on multiple screens or a properly calibrated monitor.

• Small surface imperfections (e.g., dots or spots under 3 mm) are considered normal and part of the handcrafted charm.

 

Outdoor Use & Columbarium Niches

Many of our urns are suitable for display in a columbarium or protected outdoor setting. Please follow these recommendations:

• Always keep the urn in a dry, covered location, away from direct rain, snow, or extreme moisture.

• If outdoors, the urn must be under shelter to avoid water absorption or cracking due to freezing.

• Columbarium niches must be sealed and moisture-free.

Do not:

• Bury the urn directly in the ground.

• Submerge the urn in water or any liquid.

• Leave the urn unsealed in a humid or wet environment.

Indoor Use – Home Display

HeartUrns are primarily designed for indoor display in the home. To ensure safety and preservation:

• Place urns on stable, secure surfaces.

• Keep out of reach of children and pets.

• Avoid placing near heat sources, fire, or moisture.

• Clean only with a dry, soft cloth. Do not use chemicals or water-based cleaners.

Candle Safety (For Urns with Candle Holders)

Some HeartUrns products include a space for a memorial candle. Please follow candle safety guidelines:

• Never leave a burning candle unattended.

• Keep candles away from flammable materials.

• Do not move the urn or candle while the flame is active or wax is liquid.

• Keep away from children and pets.

• Never sleep with a candle burning or use one as a nightlight.

• Extinguish if the flame becomes too high or erratic.
